Personally, I have not seen enough research regarding it’s effectiveness, and as such I am not keen on recommending it to my patients. What concerns me most is the position of the brushes- since their angles are not adjustable, I’m not sure that they would be effective along the gumline and between teeth. With a standard brush (electric or manual), you can manipulate your brush so it reaches the crevices where plaque can form.

Sonicare brushes have been the subject of many clinical studies that prove they are indeed effective- I have yet to see such substantial studies for the 30 Second Smile. So, if you find your Sonicare useful, I suggest you stick with it.
